We have a particular soft spot for '40 Mercury convertibles. The extra-long wheelbase balances the longer club-convertible top that it shares with the '40 Ford nicely. Fred Bowder outfitted his Merc with all Ford running gear, a Mustang II-derived running gear, and radials on 15-inch steelies.
