Start time is getting close for this year's Detroit Autorama as move in on Thursday closes in on the last few hours. Within 24 hours we will know who the Great 8 finalists are and by Sunday afternoon we will also know who goes home with the top honors including the Don Ridler Memorial award.
The Ridler contenders are all in position with hours of final detailing all that remains before the doors swing open. The last of the major contenders, Troy Trapanier of Rad Rides by Troy has just moved in the '36 Ford coupe belonging to Ross and Beth Myers of Boyertown, Pennsylvania named First Love as Ross bought the car while still a youngster and has owned it all these years. There are any number of details that will capture your eye but the wheel treatment, grille and rear sheetmetal are sure to be at the top of everyone's list. The photos you see here are literally the first of the incredible looking coupe and are sure to be the first of plenty more to come. The two-tone green coupe is already a crowd pleaser with the other competitors who have taken time out from their last minute hectic schedule to see what's in store from the competition. There is already plenty of talk going around as to which cars are the front runners, crowd favorites, and the like but we will hold off on those rumors at least for the time being.
