Here is a collection of photos from the 55th Detroit Autorama with plenty going on. The Pinstripers Jamboree is about to break a record for money gathered for the Rainbow Connection, a charitable organization that makes wished come true for kids. The Autorama Extreme which has garnered the nickname, The Basement has completed its first round of awards with the likes of the Alexander Bros., Gene Winfield, Troy Trepanier, Chip Foose, Jimmy Shine, Ashley Webb, and many more celebrities (including yours truly) have made our picks. You will see these cars and awards later on. The Autorama Circle of Champions inducted new members, honored old, and presented a truly interesting and insightful presentation on the history of Alex Xydias and SO-CAL Speed Shop. Oh did we mention the tension is ratcheting up as the final judging takes place for the Ridler award tonight after the show closes to the public. It will be a late night as judges will most likely be up until 2 a.m. (or later) to come to a conclusion on who will go home with this years top honor.
