Brookville coupe #1 sported only instrumentation, Dynamat, and seating inside so one and all could see just what you get for your money. You get a lot, as the craftsmanship on Brookville sheetmetal is virtually flawless. |
Note the "chin hair"-I wasn't kidding when I said the wind was something in Amarillo. The coupe was on display at the Brookville Roadster booth inside SEMA. |

If you are ever looking for some entertainment while attending a rod run, search out Corky Coker (seated), of Coker Tire, and Mike Goodman, president of Honest Charley Speed Shop. These two will provide hours of laughs and plenty of good ol' bench racing. |
Pretty hard to top this! |

Another Brookville Deuce is the Honest Charley/Coker Tire highboy roadster that Mike Goodman screwed together in 31 days. It had few brake miles, yet the Weiand-blown Flathead built by Joe Abbin of Roadrunner Engineering in Albuquerque, NM, performed well during the 1,948 miles driven. |
Go ahead-look closely at this photo and remember that the highboy is called the Double Exposure Deuce. Now, move on to the photo below and what do you see? |

OK, it's on display at the SEMA show in Hot Rod Alley, but do you see anything different about this side of the roadster? Have you figured out the name? |
The new TomCat sports roadster was brought out by P.J. Burchett of B Rod or Custom out of Knoxville, TN. |

Eric Edelmann of Powermaster drove the TomCat, some days without a top and other days with-smart guy! |
P.J. Burchett brought his hammered Chevy-powered Model A coupe as part of his duo package along with the TomCat. |

Can you say hot rod? P.J.'s Model A coupe was not only mean-looking, it also sounded great and was a hard charger. |
Darryl Starbird (second from left) gave us a personal tour of the National Rod & Custom Car Hall of Fame Museum in Afton, OK, which is his pride and joy. |

This display in the museum is a recreation of what Darryl's shop would have looked like back in his early days. It was really cool to look at the collection of tools. |
What's next for Darryl? The Cad Star, based on a very rare '57 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, will feature a twin cowl (dash) and four buckets. |

There is only one Dairy Queen in this world, and we had to stop when one was spotted. Here, the gang-Ken Gross (left), Scott Whitaker (right), Corky Coker (middle left), Mike Goodman (back right), and POSIES (back left)-sat and filled up on a well-deserved lunch. | |
