Over in the "Big Room" (one of seven halls required to fit the 450-plus cars in the show), cars stretch out almost as far as the eye can see. This was also the site where every contender for the America's Most Beautiful Roadster award was located.

John Lee's '36 Ford showed a different way to go in the wheel department. Chrome spokes on black rims (with caps 'n' rings) looked sharp, while the engine compartment was filled with an LS1 engine.

Big S.Co.T. is the name given to Sissy and Roger Morrison's throwback roadster that featured tons of vintage goodies. Check out the polished Halibrand magnesium blanks and the S.Co.T.-blown Flathead with the big Ardun heads.

Don Tognotti built the Avenger in 1960, four years before he won the AMBR award with his King T, and decades before he would eventually own the Grand National Roadster Show. The car, along with many others, will be a part of America's Car Collection in Winnemucca, NV, due to open in 2008.

Colorado's Eric Peratt was named this year's Builder of the Year, and had an impressive array of vehicles in his booth, including this sweet Model A coupe that showcased Eric's metalworking talents as well as that of the entire Pinkee's crew.

Chet Miller, from Temecula, CA, slipped into the show with his ultra-low '37 Ford, which he calls Bad Habit. Temecula Valley Paint is responsible for the two-tone green paint.

Ultra low and lean, Dennis McKee's '61 Buick Invicta is equipped with a 401 Nailhead and gets its stance via an Air Ride Technologies system.

John D'Agostino's Golden Star is another in a long line of customs from the NorCal resident. Oz Kustoms in Oroville, CA, did the body and paintwork on the '57 Oldsmobile Super 88, and the efforts paid off: The car won the George Barris Kustom D'Elegance Award.

A kustom down to the bone, Robert Dutton's Carson-topped '41 Ford looked like a polished emerald. Robert did the candy green paint himself, as well as the bodywork and fabrication.
