Goodguys 10th PPG Nationals starts off with cool weather giving an indication for the remainder of the weekend this is going to be a great time. Our first walk around there is always too much to absorb but here are some of the early rides that we see on the grounds and some basic info on the event.
This is it! Goodguys has early indications that over 6,000 1972 and earlier rods, customs, muscle cars, trucks and street machines make the event a must-attend for any car enthusiast. Hot rodding legends Sam and Chip Foose will be honored this year as the event's official "Hot Rod Heroes." Both Foose's will participate in an interactive meet & greet seminar on Saturday and will be on hand all weekend to greet their fans.
Annual event traditions include the crowning of the Goodguys Street Rod of the Year presented by Classic Instruments, the Goodguys Street Machine of the Year presented by Air Ride Technologies, plus the Goodguys Nationals is home to over 300 vendor exhibits, giant nostalgia stage shows featuring live music by "Jayne Bond & The Pink Martinis", model car show, arts and crafts, swap meet and cars for sale corral and so much more! Friday night, July 13th is the annual Hot Rod Drags at National Trail Raceway and On Sunday, July 15th during the final awards ceremony - Goodguys will give away the "Foose Challenger" grand prize giveaway car built by Unique Performance.
