Best Ford in a Ford
Continuing with our Best Ford in a Ford program the second stop on the 2009 tour was the Detroit Autorama at Cobo Hall. Taking home honors was the black '32 Ford highboy roadster belonging to Tom Schumacher.
Tom is the Northern Ohio Representative for the NSRA and lives in Columbus. The car was built by Barry Lobeck and his crew at Lobeck's V8 shop in Cleveland. Featured is the Ford modular 4V Cobra motor nestled neatly between the framerails. The hood features "blisters" on both sides to account for the valve covers/cylinder heads that poke out.
Congratulations to Tom as he will receive a custom jacket and be in the running for a grand prize come the end of the year, which is a brand new Ford crate engine for his (or maybe your) next project.
