Ray and Dennie Andrew of Magnolia,... Ray and Dennie Andrew of Magnolia, Texas, were on hand with their very smooth '36 Chevy five-window coupe. The core of street rodding... The core of street rodding will always center itself on sedans such as this '38 Chevy belonging to Dave and Lisa Lewis of Flemington, New Jersey. Bob Barker of Hebron, Indiana,... Bob Barker of Hebron, Indiana, brought out his wildly flamed '39 sedan but it's the chromed reversed wheels and wide whites that really make this hot rod. Steve Brandenburg (859-382-1151)... Steve Brandenburg (859-382-1151) of Lexington, Kentucky, whittled the small-block Chevy (650 hours) from cherry and walnut wood, and the M&H tire on Cragar wheel from maple wood! The detail is spectacular. Model A coupes on '32 'rails... Model A coupes on '32 'rails powered by a Flathead will always be cool, and Danny Brown from Indiana is no exception with his '31. This highboy Deuce Vicky belongs... This highboy Deuce Vicky belongs to Bob Johnson (Car Nutz Club) of Newark, Ohio. Original tin is always welcome at the Nats, such as Mark Cecil's '31 Ford and Mike Morrison's '31 Chevy DeLuxe, both of Louisville. In our wanderings we came... In our wanderings we came across the latest addition to the NSRA staff, former Street Rodder Editor and Street Rod Group Vice President Tom Vogele. Oh yes, that's his father-in-law, Darryl Starbird, trying to sneak out of the photo. Caught you both! In the Best New Product category... In the Best New Product category the winners were: Bob Drake Reproductions for its adjustable '32 Ford pedal pad in Group A (above), Speedway Motors for its 9 Super 7 carb in Group B (right), Brookville Roadster for its '32 Ford full-fendered roadster pickup in Group C (below), and, in the Best Safety Product category the Hot Slot flush mount taillights (bottom) from Watson StreetWorks took home the honors. We aren't going to try and... We aren't going to try and name all of those present but this is the group of rodders who have made it to all 40 Street Rod Nationals. (Missing from the photo but on the grounds are Vernon Walker and Gilbert Bugg Jr. both of the NSRA who have seen them all.)
