O'Reilly's Autorama presented by Meguiar's
What's happening on the show floor
The 58th Annual O'Reilly's Autorama presented by Meguiar's is up and running at Cobo Center in downtown Detroit. Nearly 1,000 hot rods, show cars, motorcycles, movie cars, and any other type of motorized vehicle you can think of is covering the nearly 750,000 sq feet of Cobo Hall.
Specialty displays include Drag City USA with vintage dragsters of the likes of Connie Kalitta's 1967 Bounty Hunter, Don "The Snake" Prudhomme's 1970 Wynn's Winder and Don "Big Daddy" Garlit's eries of Swamp Rats are on hand. There is also another special display honoring the 70th Anniversary of the 1940 Ford, Tony Pedregon's NHRA Top Fuel Funny car, and a very special freshly created 28-foot Forever Batmobile created by local sculptor Bob Causey. Build of the Year is Detroit's own Chuck Miller and a very admirable selection of his pieces are on display.
And as has become the custom the Basement is sponsored by 89X and is titled Detroit Autorama Extreme featuring in its sixth year traditional hot rods and tuners cars.
Make sure to come back and see what more Detroit has to offer.
