The Ridler award is a big deal in the world of car shows and some of the most famous and talented builders have competed. The cars that have taken this award home are also some of the most famous hot rods to grace the event and the pages of the nation's most famous car magazines. As with all prestigious awards there had to be a number one and here it is.
Michigan Hot Rod Association's first Ridler winner was occurred in 1964 and went to the Al Bergler's "More Aggravation"; he found and restored the dragster. The front engine dragster was original supported by Gratiot Supply and was one of the most beautiful and quickest of the AA/F class. Campaigned from 1964-66 that included six NHRA National records with a best of 8.10 at 184.94 mph. In 1966 NHRA World Champ runner-up and 1966 Spring National Super Eliminator winner. The car was powered by a 480-inch blown Chrysler Hemi resting between a Logghe Stamping chassis.
