The big story at the swap meet this year was not to be found in parts, rather the real deals were on cars. From barn finds to finished cars, the prices were right. Reports from the swap meet vendors were all the same, “The parts are selling but complete cars are barely being looked at.”

Of course this was the first week in August and the country was going through some very trying times in the financial markets and that no doubt contributed to the lack luster sales on complete cars. But if you were looking for your next project there was a great collection of vintage automobiles available. As a matter of fact, there may be no better time to buy a project car than right now, from Deuce sedans to a ’60 Rambler, there seemed to be something for everyone. Here’s a sampler of what we found in the Nats 2011 swap meet.
