Bobby and Melinda Walden have been operating their speed shop since 2005.
A lot can be seen at Walden’s Speed Shop’s Open House—even for an event that lasts only five hours. They throw open the main gate at 5 p.m., and the crowd just pours in. Some folks had been to the SO-CAL party earlier, just a couple of miles down the road, while others make this gig the only one they go to.
Bobby and Melinda Walden opened their shop seven years ago and, if you want precision metalcrafting done, this is the place. For their open house, they provided more than 1,000 ice cream bars in the first hour-and-a-half of the evening, and things didn’t slow down until 10 p.m.
Half-way done at last year’s party, Fred Warren’s latest coupe was on display and now has all of the metalwork competed, and folks could check out the fantastic metalshaping done at the shop. Look for Warren’s car finished and in the pages of Street Rodder early next year.
