Bob Millard (left) and Ron Cizek were both inducted into the event's Circle of Champions—the Detroit Autorama's Hall of Fame. If you've been to the Autorama in the past 40 years, then you probably already know Millard. He's the International Show Car Association's general manager, but he's always had something to do with the show, from judging (he's officiated hundreds of shows) in the '70s to working to develop the youth initiative program.
Ron Cizek, as winner of last year's Ridler award, is automatically inducted into the Circle, but his passion for hot rods is obvious when talking to him—he's a real hot rodder. Cizek teamed with builder Andy Leach to form CAL Automotive Creations, and the first car the pair worked on was Cizek's '40 coupe, nicknamed "Checkered Past." The '40 turned out exceptionally well, and it won the Don Ridler Memorial Award in 2013.
