Sam Magarino of Sussex, NJ, had his Lobeck's V-8 Shop (Cleveland, OH)-built '37 Ford cabriolet in the running for Street Rod of the Year. Already to the car's credit was Great Eight recognition at last year's Detroit AutoRama for the Ridler award. At the same show the car captured Outstanding Custom Rod, Outstanding Display, Outstanding Paint, Outstanding Interior, and first in class. (See SRM Oct. '03 for the rest of the story.)
