Dave Adams and a few of his buddies lend a hand wrenching on his hot rod. Not too sure what exactly is going on, but there's one guy under the dash, one under the trans, and one under the rearend, while the other three seem to be supervising.

(left) Dave's son, Rhuel Adams, contacted us a few months back with some photos of this '40 Ford convertible owned by his dad. Dave has owned the car since 1958. Bruce Kollar's '27 Dodge coupe was originally started as a restoration. About 10 years later, Bruce shifted gears and decided to build it as a street rod. As the car went together, Bruce decided that the fenders didn't look so great, so he added some material both to the length and the width of the fenders, as well as dropping the sides down an additional 2 1/2 inches to meet the tire.
Up front, Bruce installed a dropped tube axle, with disc brakes on either end, tube shocks, and a monoleaf spring, while an 8-inch Ford rearend sits out back.
Eldon Crawford is showing the young guys how it's done. Eldon built his Model A coupe himself-paint, upholstery, and all-while in his 70s! Inspiration for all of us, for sure!
