Purchased for $800, the '48 was bought as a parts car, then gears shifted and a Thunderbird 429ci engine, backed by a C6 trans and 9-inch Ford rear, was installed before the car was sectioned 4 inches and painted by Jim.

Plans include dropping in a 540ci Cad motor, overdrive trans, 9-inch Ford rear, and converting everything over to electric power. Michael's an auto trimmer by trade, so no doubt the interior will be immaculate!
