How The Model T Became The T-Bucket
|
Norm Grabowski built and owned the car acknowledged by many as being the first Fad T (a customized T-bucket). The Kookie Car got its moniker from the nickname of the character (Gerald Lloyd Kookson III) on the TV show "77 Sunset Strip" who drove the T-bucket around town: Kookie. Norm sold his T in the early '60s, and its appearance was heavily altered by its new owner, so artist Von Franco recreated it (pictured here) in the late '90s before collector and current owner John LaBelle purchased the clone.
