To state that the late '50s Chryslers are big is an understatement if there ever was one! Hell, the things needed 392 cubic inches of Hemi power just to get 'em outta their own way. This point was especially driven home when it came time to upholster Frank Hinmon's '57 Imperial and the trimmer told him it would take eight hides of leather and ostrich to cover the interior. Frank's Bakersfield, California-based Ketchum Kopper Chrysler received a wish list of modifications including a '61 Windsor front bumper, '59 Imperial swivel front bucket seats, a custom console, and a '61 Imperial steering wheel. Of course, everything is kept Mopar with the big dual quad-equipped Hemi under the hood, backed by a push-button 727 trans.
