Red leather covers the interior of Jim's pickup, providing a tasteful contrast to the forest green paint. A LimeWorks wheel and column handle the steering duties, while a set of Stewart Warner gauges set in a SO-CAL Speed Shop panel keep close tabs on the Chevy mill. Beneath the gauge cluster is a restored vintage heater that keeps the occupants toasty on those cool mountain mornings.
A Rootlieb hood top is all that protects the engine from the elements and is held down by vintage straps. Guide headlights with turn indicators always look cool.
A 350ci Chevy mill was dressed in vintage pieces, and although the engine looks straight out of the '60s, the internals are all of 21st century origin. Cal Custom valve covers, a Rochester-topped 3x2 Offenhauser intake, Joe Hunt mag-cum-electronic distributor, and tubular headers all dress an SBC nicely. An Opel water pump allows the Austin Healy fan to mount higher in relation to the radiator to provide better airflow.
