Direct MarketingDearborn Deuce LLC announced that effective June 1, 2007, it was no longer using Hot Rods & Horsepower LLC as its marketing agent for the Dearborn Deuce convertible body. Dearborn Deuce LLC purchased the design, tooling, dies, name, and other assets for the convertible body from Hot Rods & Horsepower LLC in the spring of 2006 and hired HR&H as its marketing agent at that time. That contract terminated on May 31, 2007, with Dearborn Deuce LLC now marketing the Dearborn Deuce convertible bodies directly to its dealers nationwide.
Gerry Caliendo, sales director for Dearborn Deuce LLC, said, "We thank Craig Knight and Hot Rods & Horsepower for their marketing efforts over the past year. The separation from Dearborn Deuce LLC is now complete and we wish them well in their future endeavors."
Dearborn Deuce LLC is the manufacturer of the only mass-produced, all-steel 1932 roadster body with side glass and a completely disappearing convertible top currently available in the market. For more information, visit www.dearborndeuce32.com, or call (860) 669-3232.
And The Winner Is . . .The NSRA's 2007 Top Participant Prize was awarded on Saturday, August 4, during the 38th Annual NSRA Street Rod Nationals held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The street rod was won by James Hand of Smithville, KY, a participant at the 38th NSRA Nationals. The beautiful Grand Prize is a '33 Ford "cabster" built by Street Rods By Michael of Shelbyville, Tennessee, and a host of product suppliers from throughout the street rod industry. Nothing is lacking in the construction of the cabster from the parts and pieces incorporated to the craftsmanship used throughout its construction, finish, and assembly. Michael Young and his crew at Street Rods by Michael are to be commended for building a vehicle anyone would be proud to own and drive, and we're sure Mr. Hand will enjoy his new ride-as soon as the shock wears off.
Win A Classic CarThink you know classic cars? Here's your chance to prove it. Timber Wolf moist snuff is transforming six classics back to their original glory in the Timber Wolf Speed Shop-then they're giving them away! But if you want to drive home a winner, you'll have to use your gearhead.
First things first: the cars. They have a '32 Ford coupe, a '69 Super Bee, a '57 Chevy, a '64 Corvette, a '69 Mustang SportsRoof, and a '67 Mercury Comet.
Now, how it all works. From May 15 to November 1, 2007, you'll find a code under the lid of every Timber Wolf can. Enter that code at www.twspeedshop.com, pick a car, and estimate how much you think it will be worth once the transformation is complete. For a better estimate of its value, you can watch Web videos of each car's transformation and read editorials in STREET RODDER, Mopar Muscle, Hot Rod, Corvette Fever, Mustang Monthly, and Car Craft. If you're the first person whose bid is on the money, the car is yours.
Every lid's a bid. The more Timber Wolf lids you collect, the more estimates you get, and the more chances you have to win.
