When Kevin purchased SRM Tech Editor Jim Rizzo's old Model A pickup, it was just as it appeared in an older picture we ran in a November 2007 SRM article. Kevin drove the wheels off the truck for a year before he decided to make a few changes to it.
Kevin's update included rebuilding the frontend, drilling the axle, F-1 brakes, and the most obvious, a fresh coat of flat black with red pinstriping.
The four queens and a joker poker hand on the cowl of Kevin Malone's truck reflects his wife, three daughters, and himself.
William Williams built this '26 Model T modified roadster from a Zipper Motors body and a homebuilt 2x4-inch rectangular tube chassis. Front suspension is a suicide-mounted '41 Ford with a banjo rearend of similar vintage hanging off a Model T rear spring. The engine is a '48 Ford 239ci Flathead, bored .060 over, with Edelbrock heads, an Offy dual intake, and 3/4 race Isky cam.
