Kay handpolished the aluminum heads he got from Motor City Flathead before adding them to his '51 272 Mercury. He also used a Speedway water pump, Red's Headers, Smithy's mufflers, and a pair of Stromberg 97s bolted to an Edelbrock dual intake manifold.
