An Olds Rocket? Not quite. Ron added a set of Fauxsmobile valve covers to his 283 to make it look like the vintage Olds motor from 1949-50, and it fools nearly everyone who takes the quick glance at the engine. Bored 0.030 to 292 cubes, the Chevy is topped with a trio of Stromberg 97s and an Edelbrock manifold. Ron relied on Summit and Speedway Motors for many parts and pieces for his car, and he built the motor himself. View Related Article
