A. R. Racing Performance did the machine work and assembled the 383 small-block for Eric's ride. An Eagle steel crank, GM pink rods, Speed Pro pistons (9.3:1), and a Comp Cams 'stick make up the internals. A pair of Edelbrock 1804 Thunder 500-cfm carbs mount to an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap manifold, which feeds a pair of iron Dart Iron Eagle II heads (outfitted with 1.94/1.60 valves and 1.6:1 ratio rockers. Bolt-on goodies include an AFCO radiator, a SPAL electric fan, a Powermaster alternator, an Edelbrock water pump, and a Billet Specialties air cleaner. Ignition comes from a Pertronix system (with Taylor wires) and the exhaust exits the small-block through Speedway Motors headers, custom stainless steel tubing, and out a pair of Flowmaster stainless mufflers.
