1923 Ford T Modified Roadster 1934 B Model Engine
When was the last time you saw a '34 B-model four-banger dressed like this? The 214-inch inline uses twin S&S Super E carbs, a Miller head (modified by Steve Serr), a belt-driven Bosch 009 distributor, and a stainless steel exhaust system fab'd by the owner.

The chrome roll bar (from Tubular Techniques in Hilliard, OH) is hardly noticeable. Ford wires (16 x 4 and 4.5) are wrapped in Firestone 16 x 4.50 and 7.00 rubber.

1923 Ford T Modified Roadster Gauges
A Lobeck steering wheel features a quick-release hub, and the gauges are Classic Instrument units. Note: there is no speedo; just a tach and a key fob that reminds you when you might want to shift, though we'd suspect at 4,000-rpm that little motor is really humming!

The satin finish applied to some of the parts, including the Ford wires, is yet another design element that allows the sum of the parts used to have a greater impression than if Eischen had made everything shiny. The `caps are from Steve Sellers of Sellers Equipped.

1923 Ford T Modified Roadster Front Rotor
The stainless steel grille insert looks refined but functional, and other subtle nuances, such as the air scoop for the backing plates or the blacked-out I-beam in the midst of all that chrome, reminds us you don't have to go over the top for an impressive impact.

1923 Ford T Modified Roadster Belt
Leather straps (made from a trouser belts) look vintage as does the homemade Pitman arm, which was nicely finished with lightening holes.

1923 Ford T Modified Roadster Louvers
Ever wonder what 60 louvers would look like on a T decklid? They match the heavy louver job performed on the hood and hood sides.

1923 Ford T Modified Roadster Intakes
Eischen could have designed the carb intakes to run through the hood sides instead of half-and-half with the hood top, but that would be the easy way out. The surrounds for the openings for the intakes as well as the one for the exhaust are just two of the many stylistic enhancements Eischen performed on this ride.
