Without a doubt it’s the McCulloch giant pancake 37F supercharger on a 229-inch Flathead V-8 that draws attention to the car. The blower sits on a ’34 Ford truck intake manifold machined to accept it with a belt-tensioner devised to work. Shortly after Ron and his family bought the ’29 from Crum the plan was to do a little detailing and have it ready for the 2006 Memorial Day Run to Paso Robles, California. As it turned out the car got finished up just in time for Ron’s son, Corey, to drive it to the 2009 West Coast Kustoms’ show in Santa Maria, California, without missing a beat. Special thanks for machine work and advice go out to Art and Mike Chrisman, Chad Blundell, Burt Griffin, and of course to Ron’s family.
