According to Ed, the C6 transmission, “which is about four times the size of the three-speed that was in the car,” required some major modifications to the floorboard. The resulting hump is covered by a custom console, which also provides a place for locating a set of VDO gauges, plus the controls for the Vintage Air A/C system and the iPod-compatible Alpine stereo. Ed didn’t want to eliminate the stock dash, so Pat Ward calibrated the gauges for the big-block. The leather-wrapped Lecarra wheel is a Mark 9 double-slot four-spoke. View Related Article
