That’s a teenage Bill Daniels next to his family’s former daily driver, a ’50 Olds, after dozens of louvers were punched (in the hood and trunk!) and Von Dutch had pinstriped the top of each one. Dutch told him, “Anyone crazy enough to have louvers on the trunk deserves flames” and added the licks to the sail panel. This is also the car that nearly killed him in 1956, when it flipped during some late-night street racing and impaled the gearshift knob in his chest. View Related Article
