Richard’s car debuted at the 2012 Grand National Roadster Show, placed opposite last year’s winner on the other side of the 9-foot AMBR trophy, and it was a fitting location as the car looked like it belonged there. And that’s because, as Richard Walpole soon figured out after his F-100 was finished, Squeeg’s Kustom builds great cars.

H&H Flatheads built this beauty for Richard starting with a ’50 block. A SCAT crank, Ross pistons, Navarro aluminum heads, and stainless steel valves are part of the go-fast goodies, and the Flattie is topped by a chromed triple 97 carb system atop a Navarro intake. Karas Kustoms fabbed the trick fan bracket and bearing setup.

There are a few custom pieces...

There are a few custom pieces made by Squeeg’s found on the body, including a stylish front and rear nerf bar, and a louvered rear roll pan. Another nice detail is the lip that Squeeg’s added around the leading edge of the hood—it looks like the factory did it.

Squeeg’s painted the ’vert a custom blue, while the 16x4 and 16x7 steel wheels are painted black. Firestone rubber (4.50 and 7.00) is found on each corner of the highboy.
