The original grille was massaged to perfection; with the bumper gone a custom nerf bar provides protection.
Along with efforts of Dad and Son, a host of friends contributed their talents to this build, including Bob McCall, Danny Zoeller, Ryan Zwicker, Jake Dallenbach, George Hagy, Troy Bearden, Mike Ellis, and Andrew Rivera. All their work was rewarded with a class win at the 2012 Grand National Roadster Show, then with 1 mile on the odometer, it was off to a Pro Touring event on a 2-1/2-mile road course. At the end of the day the coupe had 80 miles on it and posted the 12th fastest time of the day. We’d say that’s all pretty cool, but then cool cars are the family tradition.

It’s almost a shame to cover this chassis. The braces from the front of the rails bolt through the firewall to the rollcage. The twin ATL fuel cells are in front of the rear wheels.
