Don’t let the simplicity fool you. A ’99 Chevy 502 is made up of a Chevrolet Performance long-block with the top end assembled by the owner. Forged aluminum pistons (9.6:1) and a hydraulic camshaft are found inside, while up top the oval port heads are equipped with COMP Cams roller rockers. A single 850 Holley carb feeds the big-block, with exhaust exiting through custom stainless steel bent and welded by Rod Sexton.
