For those of you unfamiliar with the city's name, Placentia is an Italian word meaning "a pleasant place." There is said to be a city in Italy with this same name. We know this because Placentia, California, is where our law enforcement career began, resulting of course in the Cop Shop column. Tom McMullen, who founded STREET RODDER 30 years ago, first set up shop in Placentia, before moving to Anaheim, then back to Placentia. So much for the history lesson. Obviously we are at home in this "pleasant place" as were the many excellent cars that entered this year's show.
