MTI Home Video, the leading independent home entertainment studio, and their Studio Partner, Delta Entertainment, the preeminent source of urban entertainment, will release the action thriller, DEVIL'S KNIGHT, on VHS and DVD April 13, 2004 (prebook March 25, 2004). Set in the low-rider community of Los Angeles, the film showcases one of the worlds most prized custom cars designed by legendary film and TV "Kustom King" George Barris, and built by the East Coast's equally talented veteran builder Jerry Kind. The film is priced at $24.95 SRP for the DVD and $49.95 for the VHS (rental). The Digitally Mastered DVD will include a 16:9 Widescreen Presentation, Interactive Menus, Scene Selection, Cast Biographies, Optional Spanish Subtitles, and Trailers.
DEVIL'S KNIGHT stars Elizabeth Alvarez (A Man Apart), Martin Kove (The Karate Kid), Garry Marshall (Runaway Bride, Pretty Woman), Jaime Gomez (Training Day) and Pepe Serna (Bread and Roses). The feature was written, directed and produced by Quan Phillips (One Down, Voodoo Tailz).
Synopsis:
The Devil's Knight (Chrysler City Coupe) is the hottest low-rider in the world, expertly crafted by Hector Rivera (Serna) and his younger brother, Rubin (Solano). The car's astounding series of victories in major low-rider shows result in their vicious murders. Their younger sister, Delia (Alvarez), learns of her brothers' deaths while training with the U.S. Army Direct Action Team in the Persian Gulf. She returns home and with the help of her godfather, Zeff (Kove), she seeks vengeance for her brothers' killers.
George Barris:
Based in North Hollywood, California, Barris has been working with the film and television industry for over 50 years. A few of his memorable designs include the SVE Faster Furious Honda Civic and Toyota Matrix, Batmobile, the Munsters Koach, General Lee, Flint-Mobile, K.I.T.T., Back to the Future DeLorean, James Dean's Spider Porsche, David Lee Roth's "California Girls" Kustom Convertible Merc, Ghostbuster's ECTO-1, and Grease Lightnin.
Jerry Kind:
Kind has owned a custom coach building and engineering company since 1970. They built the famous Millennium 2000 which was featured at the 50th Grand National Show in Oakland, California. He also built the Chrysler City Coupe, which was displayed at the Daimler Chrysler "Eyes on Design" event in Detroit. He is now in construction on the new Shark A.T.T.A.C.K. to be released in January 2005.
