A Gibbon Fiberglass Reproductions, Inc. 1934 Ford roadster raced for the first time at Bonneville this past season under the guidance of Mike Welch of Hartsville, South Carolina. Mike reached speeds of 231 miles per hour before the engine "let go" causing him to come up "short" of the 248 mph class record that was the goal. With such an impressive first shakedown run all at Gibbon are looking forward to this coming season and, hopefully, capturing the illusive record.
