The hot rod cruising season is finally here, and the NHRA Wally Parks Motorsports Museum is proving to be a huge hit among the local SoCal vintage car crowd.
"This is the largest number of participants we've had since we started the Twilight Cruise," said Sam Jackson, the Executive Director of the Museum and cruise. "We upped our previous record (of 460) to 490 of the coolest rides in the area." Due to the favorable weather and the fact that the local rodders were just plain itching to dust off their hot rods, gave them all the more reason to get the season rolling in high gear.
The large variety, and quality of the cars makes this one of the premier local cruise nights in Southern California. Everything from vintage woodies to pre '70 muscle cars can be found on the grounds of the famous Los Angeles County Fairplex parking lot.
With the Museum exhibits and all the awesome cars, this is the perfect place to take the family for a night of drag racing history and local hot rodding. Not to mention, this is the home of Pomona Raceway, one of the most historic drag racing tracks in the world.
The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum Twilight Cruise takes place on the first Wednesday of every month, through December. A hearty thanks goes out to members of the Cal Rods Car Club for all their help during various Museum functions.
