You, the viewer, have spoken--well, more like voted with a click of a mouse button. With the votes counted, Ken Reister of Loveland, Colorado, has won our first ever online voting with his 1936 Ford roadster (September 2005). Coming in at a very close second is the Deuce coupe (reminiscent of the Beach Boys' , June 2005) belonging to Jim Inglese of North Brandford, Connecticut. Right behind Jim in the balloting was Royce Glader and his ultimate '29 Ford roadster pickup (June of 2005).
Ken Reister is no stranger to winning awards with his beautiful Chip Fosse built Ford Roadster, but this was no runaway winner by any means. The difference in voting between first and second place was only 3%, proving StreetRodderweb.com readers have a wide varitey in build taste when it comes down to their favorite style.
This was our first year of online balloting for the Streetrodderweb.com Street Rod of the Year and over the course of three months, you took us from 30 street rods that have appeared on the pages of STREET RODDER to the Final Five, and from there, a winner.
