At just 38 years old, Gregg Blackford has been working up to the Ridler competition for 25 years. That's because he started working on cars when he was only 13. Hot Rods by Gregg has built some of the most exciting and innovative hot rods ever to come out of the Midwest. At it's inaugural showing, Gregg's 1933 Chevy 5-Window Coupe "Bloodshot" was the first car to ever score a perfect 1000 points at ChevyVette Fest in Chicago.
Gregg Blackford is on a straight path to becoming one of the country's great rod builders, and to prove it, his new car, "Fusion", will be debuted in pursuit of the coveted Ridler Award at the 2007 Detroit Autorama.
"Fusion" features a handmade roadster body that showcases the builder's expertise on the English Wheel, Planishing Hammer, and Pullmax Machine - not to mention his own paintwork.
Hot Rods by Gregg specializes in custom car body building and all phases of hot rod and custom car construction. Gregg Blackford is also known in his area for his custom paint jobs and flames that look just like real fire.
