Ocean City, MD - The 17th annual Cruisin' Ocean City 2007 presented by Allstate automotive enthusiast event makes it's yearly return to the picturesque Mid-Atlantic community of Ocean City, Maryland during the late spring weekend of May 17-20, 2007.
The east coast's largest city-wide event hosts 3,000 hot rods, street rods, customs and lead sleds, with 3,000 more 'guest cruisers'in town for the weekend. Ocean City's Beachside Inlet / Beachside Boardwalk and Municipal Convention Center are the locations.
Cruisin' Ocean City presented by Allstate is a four square mile family-friendly automotive enthusiast experience that is unlike any other. From the Beachside Inlet to the Municipal Convention Center, it's Hot Rod Heaven for event participants and spectators alike.
Cruisin' Ocean City 2007 presented by Allstate activities include Allstate's Your Choice Auto Cruisin' Parade along Ocean City's Beachside Boardwalk on Thursday and Friday mornings, and Saturday's brand new Allstate Patriotism Parade. Allstate will present Saturday night's concert at the Convention Center featuring The Temptations with special guests The Funsters, brought to you by the Ocean City Hotel Motel Restaurant Association. The Temptations live concert will also benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. Dennis Gage, star of SPEED TV's "My Classic Car" television show will be a special guest and Ken Osmond, TV's 'Eddie Haskell' from the classic 50's sitcom "Leave it to Beaver", will be on hand. Both guests will be available for autographs and photos.
This years major sponsor list features the biggest brands in the world exhibiting throughout a massive 20,000 square foot interactive Manufacturer's Arena at the Ocean City Beachside Inlet, & additional inside / outside exhibit displays at the Ocean City Convention Center. Allstate's Your Choice Auto Hospitality Pavilion will anchor the Arena with a 2,000 square foot location directly in front of the Inlet's main stage. The Beachside Inlet will feature new event sponsors General Motors (GM Performance Parts), Goodyear Tires, K & N Engineering, Hershey's, Hormel Foods, Colonial Crossings of Williamsburg and Maxx Motors joining an all-star line-up that will include ATI Performance Transmissions, Barry Grant Incorporated, Flaming River Industries, Flowmaster Exhausts, Goodmark Industries, Meguiar's, Miller Electric Welding with more to be announced. The Maryland State Lottery will also be at the Inlet with special give-aways and prizes. There will be live automotive, pop culture & music trivia contests with great prizes at the Inlet's main stage and the Convention Center's outdoor stage. Sunday's final award ceremonies take place at the Inlet stage on Sunday at 3PM.
Primedia's Street Rodder Magazine will kick off its 2007 Road Tour at the May 17-20 event. The Road Tour, a widely recognized May-to-October nationwide event journey will feature Cruisin' Ocean City 2007 presented by Allstate in its magazine and website coverage. Street Rodder editors Jerry Dixey & Chuck Vranas will be in Ocean City to meet & greet event participants and spectators.
