Award winning automotive designer and builder Bobby Alloway of Louisville, Tennessee will be honored at the Goodguys 2nd Nashville Nationals June 29-July 1st with a special "Alloway Reunion" area. For the first time in history, every significant hot rod, muscle car and street machine he's ever built will displayed together in one spot at the Nashville Nationals. Over 20 cars in total will attend.
George Lange, one of Alloway's most loyal customers over the years, will have several cars on hand including the 2004 Street Machine of the Year ('57 T Bird), '56 Crown Vicky, and the radical twin turbo '67 Mustang that was profiled earlier this year in Hot Rod Magazine. Other famous cars to join the party include Johnny Freund's '33 3 window (named by Boyd Coddington as a top 10 all time hot rod) and '33 Speedstar Victoria, Ken Nester's "She Devil" '70 Hemi Challenger and a '55 Chevy Nomad as well as Nester's brand new '62 Chevy 409 car. Chuck Rowe's radical '59 Chevy Impala, Jeff Teague's Speedstar Victoria and '33 Speedstar Phaeton, Van Tyler '33 Ford full fender flamed roadster and Lee McFarland's new black '32 3 window coupe will also be on hand. Another longtime Alloway customer, Gai Wilson, will have all 3 of his flaming purple Alloway-built hot rods on too. Alloway himself will have at least two of his personal cars on hand including his raked black '49 shoebox Ford convertible.
Trust us on this - this will be a very historical gathering! Alloway's is the only shop in hot rod history to win the Ridler award, America's Most Beautiful Roadster, Goodguys Street Machine of the Year, Goodguys Street Rod of the Year, and ISCA Street Machine of the Year awards.
