Hunter's Custom Automotive in Nashville, Tennessee once again hosted the National Street Rod Association's appreciation day. State Rep Al Morton along with NSRA safety inspectors Jim Proffitt, Art Bowen and Terry West put together the first outdoor get together of 2008 in middle Tennessee. The always street rod supportive folks at Borgeson supplied the great looking Appreciation Day hat pins.
The "King of Chrome" Johnny Freund and his crew of great employees were celebrating Hunter's Custom Automotives 40th anniversary as the leading provider of performance and custom accessories in the Southeast by welcoming everyone to hang out; check out the latest in performance technology while enjoying free Krispy Kream doughnuts and hot coffee.
Over sixty of the finest street rods, customs and classic around braved the cool Spring weather and hung out until around one thirty. Al Morton called everyone together and safety awards were presented to Freddie Thurman, Joe Power and Ted Lauer followed by an NSRA Merit Award presented to Jeff Burnette. Several door prizes were handed out including caps, tee shirts and free registration for the up coming Bunny Rod Run in Jackson, TN. Free registration for this summers Muscle Shoals Alabama Rod Run and two new carburetors compliments of the Holley Corporation were given away.
