Frank Happ, with partner Marc Prince, announces that Heidts Acquisition LLC has purchased the assets of Heidt's Hot Rod Shop Inc. from Gary Heidt. The sale provides Gary the freedom to pursue his automotive and personal interests while still remaining on the Heidts Hot Rod Shop team and active in the automotive aftermarket industry. Gary Heidt is an industry icon and an '07 member of the Hot Rod Hall of Fame. Gary started Heidt's Hot Rod Shop 23 years ago in his garage, first building a '33 Ford coupe. Gary, a mechanical engineer by trade, has developed many innovative independent front and rear suspension products that have made Heidt's Hot Rod Shop a leader in the hot rod and musclecar aftermarket-parts industry. Gary will continue to work with Heidts Hot Rod Shop to develop quality products.
Frank Happ is vice chairman and founder of the Suzo Happ Group, selling parts, supplies, and services to the gambling, amusement, and vending machine industries. The company started in Frank's garage in 1986; today, the firm has worldwide sales near $200 million and 600 employees.
Marc Prince previously owned a service trades business and has a long history of owning hot rods and musclecars. Marc is from a family of car enthusiasts and has built and modified his own musclecars.
