The fourth annual Detroit Autorama Student Career Day was held March 6, 2009. There were over 3000 students and their instructors from sixty-two schools on hand for this great event. Student Day starts with a general assembly at 9:30 am with everyone getting a goodie bag and a wristband that allows them access to the Autorama for the entire weekend. This year we had over ten special speakers including Chip Foose, Troy Trepanier, Dave McClelland, Nate Pritchett (Pinks TV), Chris Baxter (Milan Dragways), Brent Wallace (BASF), Kellie Colf (SBN/SEMA, HRIA,SEMA, Eaton Detroit Spring) Mark Heaton (Baker College), Nicky (Head Chef, Jeg's Racing), Ashley Webb (Daughter of Dan Webb, builder and fabricator), Bob Medved (State Farm Insurance), J.P. The purpose of these speakers is to enlighten the students of the many opportunities available in the automotive aftermarket.
