Something For Your Pickup
Nearly every hot rodder has a modern pickup. Black & Decker's SmartScan should be something you want for your garage (or glovebox). When the "Check Engine" light comes on, this self-diagnostic tool displays the same information stored in a car's computer that a mechanic uses to diagnose and fix problems.
The easy-to-read LED screen displays the fault code for why the "Check Engine" light illuminated. The unit comes with a reference manual of the fault codes or go online to display the fault code definition.
Urgency Indicators also display how serious the problem is and it has the ability to turn off the "Check Engine" light. The SmartScan catches minor problems before they become big problems. It is supported by a 1-800 support line, and unlimited use of the SmartScan Website for checking fault codes is included. The SmartScan can be updated from www.blackanddecker.com/smartscan with new codes using the USB port (USB cord sold separately).
