Inline Brake & Clutch
Engineered Components, Inc. (ECI) introduces its under floor mounted inline brake and clutch pedal assemblies. These inline mount pedal assemblies offer compact under floor mounting. Their unique inline design utilizes an offset bellcrank, allowing the master cylinder or booster to be mounted farther rearward and inline with the clutch master, providing substantially more pedal and exhaust system clearance, a major problem in standard shift installations.
These pedal assemblies use a new front mount pedal pivot shaft attachment system where the pedals and pivot shaft are installed from the front, requiring virtually no side clearance for installation of the pedals.
Mounting systems are available for various boosted and un-boosted installations and come with pedal pads and hardware. The new ECI full round and flat round pedals are available as an option.

Flaming River Industries announces the Secur-Start tilt column, a stainless steel tilt steering column featuring a built-in electronic vehicle starting and security system. The column incorporates the keyless ignition's starter switch button in place of the key tumbler in the column shroud in the preferred "Key at 3" position, and is connected to the keyless ignition system controller circuit. The electronic column uses a proximity transponder (card) that uses state-of-the-art random code generation to provide both operator identification and vehicle security. The transponder activates the system when in close proximity to a concealed antenna, and the vehicle starts when the start button is pressed. Once the transponder moves out of range, the security system automatically activates.
The columns are available in lengths of 28, 30, 33, and 35 inches, in floor or column shift models. They are available in mill finish (paintable), chromed/polished and black powder coat finishes.
