A line of Ford crate engines from Edelbrock RPM 347s deliver up to 440 horsepower and 425 lb-ft of torque (dual-quad) and 437 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque (single-carb). These 347 cubic-inch feature a 4.030 bore x 3.400-inch stroke combo and are built from 8.2-inch deck height Dart Iron Eagle block, SCAT cast crankshaft, forged steel connecting rods, and KB pistons. The heart of the performance is Edelbrock's Total Power Package combination of roller camshaft, Performer RPM or RPM Xtreme cylinder heads, RPM intake manifold and carburetor or Pro-Flo XT fuel injection.
Additional qualities include Edelbrock 1.6:1 roller rockers, MSD distributor and a Milodon oil pan. Edelbrock offers optional finish (cast, polished or EnduraShine), water-pump and oil pan style (front or rear sump). All Edelbrock crate engines are hand assembled by dedicated Edelbrock technicians. Great Cover Up
EngineQuest (EQ) has a timing cover that is the perfect OE replacement fit for 1969 to 1979 Pontiac 350/400/455ci V-8 engines.
EQ's cast-aluminum timing cover (#TC400N) comes complete with a water pump divider plate and includes two coolant inserts. Both the water pump divider plate (EQ #WP400P) and the coolant inserts (EQ #WP400S) can be purchased separately. The newly manufactured EQ timing cover is designed for OE fit, form, and function, and bolts onto all Pontiac engines of this vintage, except the 4.9L 301 CID engine.

Plenty In Reserve
Engineered Components, Inc. (ECI) offers a line of billet aluminum reservoirs for remote fill systems and as GM master cylinder replacement reservoirs. These reservoirs are the newest design, featuring a tapered body and cap configuration. Polished finish is standard. The remote fill reservoirs come complete with mounting bracket and are available in two or three reservoir configurations. A modified version of the remote fill reservoirs are a plug-in replacement for the standard plastic reservoirs on the GM master cylinders; just pull off the factory unit and plug in the ECI aluminum unit.

Thump On This
COMP Cams has extended the Thumpr cam line to provide Ford modular three-valve engines with an aggressive idle and increased power, all while keeping stock valve springs.
These new hydraulic roller camshafts will turn your naturally-aspirated or blower-equipped Ford three-valve engine into a performance machine with a minimum of installation difficulty, requiring only the addition of the COMP Cams Cam Phaser Limiter Kit (#5449) and computer tuning. Another interesting feature is the camshaft is compatible with stock valve springs, eliminating expensive valve spring changes.
The Thumpr camshaft line has three different grind profiles for each engine, all of which will produce a rough, racy exhaust note and impressive gains in horsepower and torque. In fact, extensive testing of these new combinations has confirmed repeatable power gains of 25-plus rear-wheel horsepower with no sacrifices in long-term durability.

Hot Rod Headers
Ford Racing now offers a compact 4-into-1 clamshell design street rod header (M-9430-SR302; includes gaskets, bolts, and studs). The headers will fit most 289/302/351W applications. The ceramic-coated 409 stainless steel headers features 1 5/8-inch primary tubes with 2 1/4-inch ball-style collector for easy exhaust pipe connection, and includes short outlet pipes with 02 sensor fittings. It will also fit "GT-40P" heads and is designed for maximum clearance in the narrow frames of early Fords and has a lifetime warranty.
