After three days of fighting nagging problems, Al Eshenbaugh broke the D Fuel Roadster record this evening at the 2009 Bonneville Speedweek running over 233 miles an hour.
The great folks at Hughes Performance Transmission overnighted some new driveline parts to the team that helped them to break the record. Thanks to Jeff Hughes and the other great folks for giving the team the world's fastest automatic transmission.
The car and crew are now in impound servicing the car and will run first thing Wednesday morning to certify the record.
