You are invited to take a ride down memory lane as Shriners Hospitals for Children(r) celebrates the Wells Fargo Capitol Concours on June 9 - 10. Thanks to a generous $25,000 donation, Wells Fargo Bank is presenting sponsor for the two-day event that will bring together car enthusiasts from throughout the region. All proceeds from the event sponsors and automobile entrance fees will be donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children -Northern California and the California Automobile Museum.
The festivities begin on Saturday, June 9, with a Prelude d'Elegance reception from 5:30 - 8 p.m. at Shriners Hospitals for Children - Northern California, located at 2425 Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento. Classic car collectors will swap stories with automobile enthusiasts and preview some of the classics entered in the Concours. Admission is $40. On Sunday, June 10, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., some of the finest classic automobiles in the world will line the greens on Sacramento's Capitol Mall (between 3rd Street and 10th Streets) as the Wells Fargo Capitol Concours takes center stage. Admission is $20. The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) will score automobiles competing for awards in the Concours competition. The objective for each collector participating in the show is to showcase historical automotive design brilliance.
