Elaine Larsen and Marisha Falk are young, smart and attractive, but looks can be deceiving. These two ladies are among the most daring speed chasers on the planet. They will race their 5000 horsepower jet dragsters at the 10th annual Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion presented by AAA, Thursday through Saturday (June 14-16) at Beech Bend Raceway Park.
"Reunion fans will want to hold on to their seats when these two amazing drivers and the entire Larsen Motorsports Team come out to Beech Bend for the Holley Hot Rod Reunion," said Reunion Competition Director Steve Gibbs. "In addition to the heart-pounding nostalgia drag racing, huge Show N Shine and crowd-favorite Cacklefest, we hope the jet cars will add to the excitement of the Reunion's 10th anniversary celebration. It'll definitely be a memorable Reunion for all."
This dynamic duo will be turning up the heat at Beech Bend racing side by side on Friday, June 15, and Saturday, June 16. They will both be driving new 5000 horsepower jet dragsters powered by General Electric J-85 engines. Both dragsters were built by Elaine's long-time husband Chris Larsen, referred to as "Jedi Jet Master Chris." Fans will also get some extra excitement at the highly interactive Larsen Motorsports Team pit display with live demos and plasma-cutting displays.
"Beech Bend is one of my favorite tracks, so to be able to bring our Miller jet dragster and blast down the quarter-mile next to some of the best of the best in nostalgia racing is a great opportunity. It just doesn't get any better than that. I have a feeling that we are going to shake, rattle, and roll Bowling Green," said Larsen, driver of the Miller Jet Dragster.
Larsen, who is a 20-year racing vet and the president of Larsen Motorsports, has driven everything from NHRA super gas to a 5000 horsepower jet dragster. This year she has decided it is time to heat things up by bringing on the new driving sensation Marisha Falk. Falk is only 25 years old but has already accomplished many feats. She is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Science as well as a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Falk is currently employed at Embry-Riddle as a Specialized Training Manager in the Flight Department.
"I am brand new to drag racing, and this will be my first appearance at Beech Bend Raceway Park," said Falk driver of the Embry-Riddle Jet Dragster. "I cannot wait to see in person some of these amazing race cars that I have only seen in National DRAGSTER. I can't wait."
