The Utah Salt Flats Racing Associations 26th annual World of Speed will take place on the Bonneville Salt Flats this coming September 8th (Saturday) through the 11th (Tuesday). Held on the world famous salt flats during the cooler late summer months, the World of Speed welcomes a wide variety of participants in venues that encourage both maximum speeds and beginner racers. Spectators are welcome at the start line and can enjoy excellent viewing and high speed sound along the first three miles of acceleration. Located west of Salt Lake City in Utah off Interstate 80 near the Nevada casino community of West Wendover, the World of Speed provides up close and personal participation from the comfort of your car or you can walk through the pits or visit the start line. A good camera and a pair of binoculars make welcome companions in this beautiful pure white environment so familiar to most folks as the setting for numerous automotive manufacturers advertising campaigns.
