The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association is inviting you to join them in the fall for the Texas Road Tour! The driving takes place on September 27th from Goodguys Headquarters in Pleasanton, California all the way to Texas Motor Speedway, Thursday, October 3rd. Total miles covered: 1,969.

For the finalists of the Goodguys Street Machine of the Year and Street Rod of the year; who none other than George Poteet said that he will pay the entry fee. Poteet made the same statement at Goodguys Columbus this year and plans to stick to it.

Ridler Winner of the Detroit Autorama, Ron Cizek; will be among the few embarking on this journey. Cizek’s 1940 Ford is an absolute showstopper and you can take a look at it in the video below. Among Cizek, Harold Chapman with his 1930 Ford and Terry Hudson with his 1937 Chevrolet will also be joining in on the fun.

The trip will go through the states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. The tour will also be making pit-stops to private car collections, shop visits, and of course museums that are along the way. Entry is $1,500 which covers hotel, meals, and commemorative tour booklet. Not only that, entrants will receive two shirts, two hats, two decals, entry to the Goodguys 21st Lone Star Nationals October 4-6 at Texas Motor Speedway and a special at-event parking area exclusive to Road Tour cars only.
